Apple Ridge Performance Stage

Apple Ridge Farm's 1999 Music Fest took place on Saturday, October 16, a sunny and perfect autumn day. This Music Fest celebrated the official opening of the Apple Ridge Farm Wilderness Trail System and the G.E. Elfun Society Performance Stage.

The G.E. Elfun Society Performance Stage was donated and built by the Elfun Society of the Salem G.E. plant. The stage provided the perfect setting for performers throughout the afternoon, and serves as center stage for performance activites at Apple Ridge Farm.

Also dedicated on October 16, the new Wilderness Trail System, the culmination of over a year of planning, fund-raising and many hours of labor, was made possible by a generous grant from the Carilion Community Health Fund.

Over 200 people gathered for this event and spent a lovely day exploring our trails, taking a hay ride, listening to music, meeting Apple Ridge campers, and enjoying a delicious luncheon.
